A penthouse bedroom in Whitefield had an existing PVC ceiling that the new owner found visually cheap for the premium property. Removing the PVC without disturbing newly renovated walls required precise demolition planning.
The PVC ceiling was removed in full and the void cleaned before installing engineered oak panels on a GI framework. The panels were finished with a light matte stain to deepen the grain without making the ceiling feel heavy. Recessed downlights were flush-fitted into the panel surface.
The penthouse bedroom ceiling is now a deliberate design statement. The engineered oak brings warmth that contrasts beautifully with the white walls, and the flush downlights keep the visual composition clean.
