Office gypsum ceiling with open-plan lighting — IT company

Challenge

Open-plan office needed uniform, shadow-free lighting across workstations while maintaining a clean, modern look. Existing sprinkler and fire alarm systems needed relocation to new ceiling level.

Solution

Installed a flat gypsum ceiling at 9-foot finished height with recessed panel lights on a calculated grid (one light per 2 workstations). Coordinated with the fire safety contractor to relocate sprinkler drops and smoke detectors to the new ceiling level.

Outcome

The open-plan floor has consistent, comfortable lighting. Fire safety systems are fully compliant. The clean gypsum ceiling modernised the office space significantly compared to the exposed slab it replaced.
